Rossa helped to rescue us from a challenging situation - we had a previous installer implode on us, leaving us with a poorly architected and incomplete home AV system. Rossa explained to us our options and got us set up with an awesome Sonos system as well as specifying and installing a wall-mounted TV with multiple inputs in an AV closet all controlled through a programmed universal remote. He worked within our budget and constraints and has always responded quickly to fix anything needed (usually when I screw something up :-)

Rossa Sheridan, owner of SF Audioworks, is a highly skilled home theater, audio/visual and network installer. He's a wonderfully creative problem solver, capable of figuring out a workable solution for seemingly any budget. When it was time for my wife Karen and me to upgrade from the 1997 27" TV we'd had forever (well, since 1997), he recommended specific home theater equipment perfect for our budget, installed everything expertly, cleaned up diligently, and communicated very clearly throughout the whole process. My experience with Rossa leaves me 100% confident that I can refer him without hesitation to our clients, and that he will act as a consultant and advisor rather than a salesperson, making me look good for having recommended him.

Our first AV installer flaked on us (fortunately before he started any real work) and I couldn't be happier because we found Rossa instead.

Rossa installed two wall-mounted plasma TVs, upgraded our wall mounted speakers, installed a couple speakers in the ceiling, wired up our AV gizmos, and fixed our home audio system (that wasn't wired up correctly when the house was built).

He came up with a clever way of using some existing wiring to power a set of rear speakers without having to dig around in the ceiling. This saved us money... which I then spent on a sub woofer :)

Rossa did a quality job. We've had no problems with his work and are pleased with the AV equipment he recommended. You can spend as much as you like on AV equipment but Rossa came up with some good mid-priced options that fit our budget.

Rossa provided a thorough up-front itemized estimate and came in on budget.

We definitely recommend him for anyone looking to have a home theater installed.

I'm in full agreement with the other reviewers here. Rossa hears what you need or hope to accomplish, provides creative solutions, and gets the job done. We are thrilled with the work done by him and his team from San Francisco Audioworks. All around professionals and Good People.

After moving into our new home we needed a revamp of the old audio system left behind by the previous owners. Rossa recommended some Sonos components and new ceiling speakers in specific rooms throughout the house.

We also hoped to be able to add additional audio components down the line (turntable, etc.), so he made sure our system would be able to accommodate this and explained how it would work when the time came.

The SF Audioworks crew knocked it out of the park. We can now play music in multiple rooms of the house, including different music in different rooms. (Daddy can only take so much of "Wheels on the Bus"!)

I think the most important takeaway for me is that Rossa and SF Audioworks' ultimate service is a DAILY LIFESTYLE UPGRADE. This is one of those projects that opened my eyes to how spending money in certain ways can improve life daily and for the long haul.

We feel as if this project really made our house a home. Highly recommended.

Rossa has worked on both my suburban home and urban condo for 10 years, and he's just the best there is. The first job he did for me was installing a 65" Panasonic plasma that weighed a ton (10 years ago, they did weigh a ton), with a Dolby 5.1 surround system. Rossa, who has industry access to several brands of gear, recommended and installed a proper Denon AV receiver and put together my components from B&W, Polk, Oppo, and Apple (iMac and an AppleTV), all of it controlled by a simple and elegant Harmony universal remote. He did in-ceiling Polk speakers for the rear channels, and all of the cables and wires were neatly hidden away in the walls and the cabinets. Over the years, as my components changed, Rossa came by to update the system and the remotes for a de minis charge, which has been well worth it for somebody as tech illiterate as me. The flatscreen TVs in the bedrooms, home gym and the office, be they on custom shelves, articulating arms, or hung on walls, were pieces of cake for him and his crew -- all of it done beautifully. Highly recommended!

SF Audioworks only provided me information by phone, but it was great advice!

I'm only interested in PBS and a few other local channels; I live in SF close to the Sutro TV tower. I asked Rossa by phone about installing a roof-top antenna for my HDTV. He wisely suggested trying an indoor antenna first, and if that worked I'd be saving myself a heap of money.

Whaddayaknow... that $30 indoor antenna brings in over 3 dozen local HD channels... way more than I get with Comcast. I hope to give Comcast the heave-ho in the very near future.

Rossa and the SF Audio Works team are great at what they do. I used Rossa to set up a television and sound system in my home. He made the TV look amazing - it's flat against our wall, no wires visible, and the cable box is completely out of site (in our garage actually- he ran a cable from the tv to the box in the garage.. seems like magic to me, but he made it look easy). He also set up our home sonos system and trained us all on how to get the most out of our equipment.

His philosophy is really simple: He wants what he installs to work 100% of the time. I like that philosophy. He stands by his work and is really there for the customer.

I want to add that Rossa is incredibly knowledgable. He's been doing this for awhile. If you're looking to set something up in your home - be it an audio system or an awesome TV/media system, I'd call them. Very simply - they are amazing, responsive, reasonable, and basically a guarantee satisfaction.

Update: Had a question about the TV, Rossa responded within the hour! Offered to come by and fix any concerns we had. Doesn't get better than that!

Rossa knows AV, I really wouldn't let anyone else install or select at TV or stereo again. Each time we hire him for a project he comes in on budget, on time and with products that perfectly fit our needs.

Rossa has worked on installations for us that test his skills and creativity. Anyone can mount a TV in a relatively new home, it takes talent to find ideal solutions for older homes. Whether you need a whole home audio solution, a retrofit to include new gear, or are starting from scratch Rossa will design and install a system to fit your budget and your space. He makes your AV dreams come true!

I hired SF Audioworks to extend my Sonos music system & install speakers in my backyard. Rossa was knowledgeable, dependable, and fast. He recommended great speakers that were reasonably priced, ordered all necessary equipment, and his installer managed to find a way to run cable back to my video cabinet from outside the house, while still staying under their time estimate. I'm very happy with the job, and would hire him again!

Rossa Sheridan is an artist and technician. Perfect combo for us and our challenging small home. He designed a sleek system that took up minimal space and gives us the best possible performance for our budget. He's a knowledgeable guy that pays attention to the best technology while also thinking artistically about what will look good in your home. His estimates are fair and if he feels he is going to need additional budget, he'll tell you well before you need to spend it. All in all I'd say if he's available, grab his time!
